In a market where advertisers are often short on cash, Carlson’s advertising revenue hit $5 billion in 2018, according to Kantar Media’s latest earnings report.
The company said that Carlson had a revenue of $2.7 billion for the quarter.
That’s up from $1.9 billion for 2017 and $1 billion for 2016.
Kantar Media also reported that Carlson’s ad sales have increased by 50 percent from the third-quarter of 2017.
Carlson is also a big player in politics, as his show has been an important force in the rise of the Tea Party.
In February 2018, the company said the show generated $1 million in ad revenue in the first three days of the new Congress.
The show has also been a force in conservative politics, including the 2016 presidential election, which saw it gain significant traction on Fox News.
